Carl Benedetti Jr. was elected to the Board of Education in April 2011. He is a lifelong Ewing resident and graduate of the Ewing Public Schools, graduating from Ewing High School in 2009.  His older sister, Alysha, is a 2007 Ewing High graduate and has a younger sister, Erica, who will be graduating from Ewing High School in 2012. Carl will earn his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Mercer County Community College in August 2011. He will be attending The College of New Jersey beginning in the Fall of 2011 to pursue his Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Carl currently serves as the League Secretary and Webmaster of the Ewing Babe Ruth League, along with being a league coach and manager for four years. He is also a member of the Ewing Township Recreation Advisory Board. Carl is currently employed part-time as a licensed insurance producer for State Farm on Parkway Avenue.
