Bruce J. White was first elected to the board of education in 1984. He is in his 24th year of service to ALL the students of Ewing Township and ALL citizens of Ewing Township. He has previously served as president, vice president and chair of many committees during his tenure on the board. A life-long resident of Ewing Township, Bruce is a graduate of Ewing High. White is an active 32 year member of the Ewing Kiwanis Club. He is chairperson of the Ewing Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation that annually awards scholarships to Ewing Township graduating high school students. Additionally, Mr. White is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Ewing Township Patriotic Committee, and is an officer in the Village on the Green Civic Association. Mr. White retired in August 2001 after 37 years as an educator. He was a teacher, guidance counselor and, for 22 years, a high school principal. Father of two adult daughters, Rebecca and Sarah (both graduates of the Ewing schools), whose professional careers have taken them to New York City and Vermont. For more than 30 years, Mr. White has been the proprietor of an antiques business.
