Free and Reduced-Price Meals
Application and information in English and Spanish are at this end of the page
Students who attended Ewing Twp. Schools in 2015-2016, who were eligible for Free or Reduced Price Meals in June 2016, will continue receiving those benefits for the first 30 school days or until a new application is determined. Please note that kindergarteners or other new students will NOT automatically be extended the free or reduced price benefits for their household. Parents/guardians should plan to complete a new application or contact the Food Service Office before the opening of school.
A 2016-2017 application must be submitted to the Food Service Office before Thursday, October 20th or the returning students will pay full price for meals beginning Friday, October 21st. Applications may be submitted at any time during the school year, however, free or reduced price benefits do not begin until after the application is determined.
A 2016-2017 application packet will be available in August. Interested parents/guardians should complete one application for all the children in their household. The completed application should be returned to the Food Service Office.
Benefits for Foster Children: Be sure to read the instructions on the application. If you submit a current "Resource Family Parent Identification Letter" (DYFS 5-49) to the Food Service Office, it will not be necessary to complete an application for your foster child(ren) for the school year.
Direct Certification Letters are to be mailed by mid August. If a DC letter is received, it is not necessary to complete a 2016-2017 application; the students listed will automatically receive free meals.
If all students in the household are NOT named in the letter(s), a copy of the letter must be returned to the Food Service Office with the missing student's name(s) listed, so they can also receive free meals.
